So somewhere far in Japan some guy named "Dekajun" has a label coincidentally named Cheez. Cheez!? Its even in the same font I laser etched on my usb keychain (created in fall '06) for fucks sake! What are the chances of that? Dekajun must be a very clever guy since he's thinking like me.



What kind of label is this anyway? According to the blog the items are "bicycle inspired" and apparently they are "looking pretty good." It seems to be part of a larger collection called "RESONATE GOODENOUGH." What kind of hodgepodge crap name is that?

A: I think I have a new name for label.
B: Nande?
A: AERO CRAZY ONION!
B: Haha sugoi Yoshi! I have label too!

It reminds me how Japanese stationary always have the weirdest captions.

Ze Treazure Hunt

I love going to thrift shops and find good old stuff. Today's finds are records! It took fucking forever sifting through sleeve after sleeve of literally 10 racks but I came upon a few goodies.


"Make it with You" is such a bow-chika-bow-bow song. Gets the lady in the mooooood.

For the last few months I've been really into French-cafe-jazz-accordion-whatever-you-call-it.

 

2 record set and the records are in pristine condition! Oh what a find! Buddy Rich is a bad ass drummer and its got some good solos to prove it!


Save the best for last. Another record from the same collection and this too is in pristine condition! She's a really good jazz vocalist that everyone should check out if you don't know already. I just wish the art director or whoever decided on the cover art should've thought about it a little more. I'll just say it. Bukkake. Ugh I need to shower.

There were other records of the same collection but I was too lazy to go to the ATM. I'll be back to get the others though. I hid the rest between some crappy looking records.

Anyway I'm still hunting around for a good road bike. I talked to this one guy at my local bike shop and he referred me to one of his friends who sells used bikes but its in the San Fernando Valley. Faaaar! We'll see what's up. That's all for now. Or until I get bored.

Curse Search Engines

So, I forgot what was the URL for my own blog so I decided to try and search engine it (Yes, I also forgot that I can just got to blogger/blogspot.com and sign in and get to my blog). Anyways, so I decided to type in "jaqANDcheez" since it is our username and name of our blog. And my results? NOTHING!
Google: Your search - jaqANDcheez - did not match any documents.
Yahoo: We did not find results for: jaqandcheez.
MSN: We did not find any results for jaqANDcheez.

What does it take to be on a search engine? Sigh. It appears that we have made it no where.
But it appears that if you take out the and and just put in "jaq cheez" you can find some random stuff totally unrelated to us. GODDAMN SEARCH ENGINES! I should make a wikipedia page.

My Child is Student of the Week at _______ School

God, I am so sick of seeing those bumper stickers reading "My Child is Student of the Week/Month at ______ Elementary School". I mean how many kids go to an Elementary school, a few hundred maybe. And how many weeks are there in a year? 52. Chances are your kid isn't even the ONLY student of the week/month. There's at least 2 or 3 kids in every class that get this lame title. So really, your kid isn't that special. I'd like to see a bumper sticker that reads "My Child is a Billionaire" or "My Child won a $50,000 Scholarship" or "My Child Invented This". Now, that would be something to show off to strangers about.

Perhaps I was just angry because I was sitting in traffic behind this slow van (not even a mini-van an actual van-van) which had one of these annoying bumper stickers. Either way, those bumper stickers are really irrating, please show me something worth while.

I believe this blog will be about us and about everything--our commentary about life. This blog need not restrictions because you can't restrict creativity!! Anyway, to kick things off there will be many projects scheduled. Look forward to comics, horror stories, and the collaborative junction of 2 great and creative minds. 

Update: I created a new header for our awesome blog. I'm such a n00b with basic html but it came out exactly how I intended. I'm still playing around with the layout and hopefully we'll get that perfect look we're looking for. The most important part of this blog in terms of aesthetics is neatness, easy-to-read-ness, and easy-on-the-eye-ness. I hope you like the header Jaq!
